Learn to kitesurf with Brighton Kitesurfing Academy and our friendly, professional team of kitesurf instructors. All Brighton Kitesurf Academy instructors are fully qualified IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) or BKSA ( British Kite Surfing Association) standards. We all love kiteboarding and we love to teach people this amazing sport ! We are one of only a small number of BKSA recognised schools, and meet their stringent safety and teaching standards.
We offer a range of courses to suit all levels : one or two day group lessons or private one to one lessons. The focus is on small groups of no more than two students per instructor so lots of hands on time with the kites which results in rapid progression.
On completion of your 'learn to kiteboard' course you will be issued with the internationally recognized IKO/BKSA kiteboarder card, allowing you to rent and purchase kitesurfing equipment worldwide. Our kitesurf courses are held at the South Coast's premier kitesurfing location - Lancing Beach, one hour from London, twenty minutes from Brighton and close to Shoreham, Worthing and Goring. The shallow flat water and prevailing cross onshore winds provide perfect conditions for learning to kitesurf.
Brighton Kitesurfing Academy are the only school with permission from Lancing Parish Council to teach kitesurfing courses at Lancing Beach and we have a specially designated Kitesurf School Zone to teach in.
We provide all equipment needed including extremely warm wetsuits, harnesses, helmets, buoyancy aids, as well as kites, control bars and boards. We believe at BKA that students should spend as much time as possible flying kites in the water and ultimately kitesurfing with a board. This is paramount to rapid progression for students and our success rate is second to none.
