My name is Frazer Stewart (instructor at BKA) and Kitesurfing changed my life! I learnt to kitesurf in 1999 and have been hooked ever since. I qualified as an IKO instructor in 2004 and have been teaching in the UK and abroad. I went traveling in 2006 for a year and spent 2 months in Vietnam and 5 months in Brazil Kitesurfing. It was heaven with wind nearly every day! It was in Brazil I met Mark from Revolution kiteboarding who mentioned Best Kiteboarding were looking for a sales Representative in the UK. Being in sales already this sounded like a dream job, two work in the industry you love! The rest as they say, “is history” I got the job when I returned to the UK and now have worked for Best Kiteboarding since Feb 2007.
Through my job, I see and speak to many different schools worldwide and wanted to formulate a lesson structure that first and foremost teaches kitesurfing in a safe environment with the focus on a maximum of two students per instructor for intensive learning both practical and theory.
As I was born and grew up in and around Brighton, I wanted to open a local kitesurfing school where people could learn and enjoy kitesurfing in a safe environment. What better place to learn than Lancing beach. At low tide it is shallow for 50 meters out, is gently shelving with a sandy bottom and no obstructions are under the water… Perfect!
BKA are the only school with permission to teach in the kitesurfing zones designated by Lancing Parish Council.
