Two day course : discover kitesurfing and progression courses combined
The IKO/BKSA Two Day Kitesurfing Course is designed to take the student from
being a complete novice and within eight hours over two days You will be
confidently and safely piloting a kite, and board starting on Your own *!!!
The course covers :
DAY ONE
* Pre flight safety checks and site assessment
* Determine the wind direction
* Carry and set up lines and kite
* How to safely launch and land a kite
* Pilot a small kite manoeuvring it through the "wind window"
* How to stop a kite in case of a problem by releasing the bar
DAY TWO
* Recap from Day one
* Body dragging through the water
* Self rescue and pack down of equipment
* Rules of the Sea
* Waterstart theory
* Load and launch
* Get up and riding
From here you will be at a stage where you will have learnt all the basics
of kitesurfing, its just a case of getting out there and practicing more,
either by having more lessons, or getting set up with your own with kit.
Duration: Eight hours over two days including breaks for lunch.
Sports Buddy: after completing the course You will receive a list of
contact details of other students who have learnt and are keen to buddy up
with someone else to learn in a safer and more sociable way.

What to Bring: We will provide all the equipment, safety gear, Wetsuits and
all the kitesurf equipment (except for wetsuit boots for hygiene reasons,
you can bring an old pair of trainers or buy a pair of wetsuit boots for
around £20 from a watersports shop). It would be a good idea to bring a dry
towel, packed lunch, water, sun glasses & sun screen. And of course a bag to
transport these items to the teaching zone.
